Bourbon Famous takes on Rabbit Hole Heigold. This is a high rye offering and part of Rabbit Hole's recent re-branding after being bought by Pernod Ricard, a French alcohol company. Rabbit Hole isn't distributed in our state, so this bottle was actually sent to us by the distillery for review. Heigold is a 95 proof, 3 year old bourbon, that is 70% corn, 25% malted rye, and 5% malted barley. The rye is actually imported from Germany, since the name Heigold is from a German stone mason immigrant to Louisville, Kentucky. Rabbit Hole is naming more of their bourbons after people influential in Louisville history.
