This week we're trying a distillery exclusive, High West Valley Tan. This is a blend of wheat and oat whiskeys and comes in around 87 proof. It's definitely unique, but is it worth a trip to Utah to pick up a bottle? We will admit that it's got an interesting story behind it, and the man on the bottle.

It's a Christmas Miracle. Or a VA ABC lottery miracle. We got our hands on a bottle of Pappy Van Winke's Family Reserve 20 Year without paying secondary prices. Is it worth the hype? Probably. Is it worth thousands of dollars? Probably not. Let's see how this review goes down, as we'll never see another bottle in this realm for a long time.
Phil got his hands on a bottle of Mic Drop 4 Year. The first two releases were 8 years old, delicious, and impossible to find for a realistic price. Did PM Spirits manage to keep the quality high while moving to a more affordable, younger release? This is the L19-01 release and only comes in at 4 years old, and 112.2 proof. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley. I will say PM Spirits is very honest in their labeling, and gives a lot of information, which we like.
